Deanna went on a field trip to Burnaby Heritage Village today. She chose to wear one of Oma's dress-up clothes along with an apron and bonnet from Aunty Kathy. My Oma made that dress for my mom along time ago. Ironically that style of dress would be perfectly acceptable in today's times.

And just to remember these times I need to make a note of a brief conversation with Zachary over the mixer today. (I was mixing bread, he was asking all sorts of questions.)
"Did God make you Mom?"
"Yes, he did Zachary."
"Did God make me, Mom?"
"Yes."
"And did he make Carolin?"
"Yes, he did."
Pause
"Did God make his self, Mom?"
That's pretty deep thinking for a 3 year old isn't it? And yes, I answered him appropriately - that God wasn't created but always was here. I'm not sure he understood and I am sure there will be more questions in the future. That's why I stay home with my kids and bake bread, right? :-)

That's right Alisa, that's why you stay home. The best job ever.

Cute, Deanna! I just had a conversation with Sophie something like that but it turned into "did God make my bed...and the walls...and..." :)
