July 29 - August 5

Our holidays started out bright and early on July 29.  We weren't on the road long before Gord and Benjamin had to change the trailer tire.  But it didn't take too long and we were on our way again.  We had a great time at Green Lake.

On the way...

Crazy road between Lytton and Lilloet.  We passed a dump truck on this stretch.

Stopping to do a geocache.

The lake was warm and without seaweed.

Our camp spot amidst the aspen trees.  There are no pine trees left due to the pine beetle.

We are glad we bought the screen tent, even though we couldn't figure out how the thing was supposed to set up.  The bees were plentiful and it was nice to eat without them.

Zachary is our true outdoors kid!  He was a very happy kid the entire time.

We had reasonable weather, but had thunderstorms and rain too.  The clouds in the blue sky were beautiful though.

My favourite photo of the lake.

The other side of the lake.  We explored the other side while we were geocaching one day.

Waiting out a thunderstorm in the shelter by the beach.

A friendly buck not far the beach area.  He must be pretty civilized as we later had him visit us right behind our campsite.

Geocaching with Daddy.

Very interesting location for a geocache.

Some very nice people lent up their kayaks.  The kids loved them!

The friendly buck.
